Department announces graduate student awards

The Department of Chemical Engineering announced their annual graduate student awards during the department’s Distinguished Lectureship Reception at the Nittany Lion Inn September 29. Among those awarded were:

  • Yuexiao Shen, advised by Manish Kumar – best paper
  • Allan Brooks, advised by Kyle Bishop – best candidacy
  • Charles Cartier, advised by Kyle Bishop – best talk at symposium
  • Seyed Pouria Motevalian, advised by Kristen Fichthorn and Ali Borhan – best teaching assistant

Awards were presented by Seong Kim, professor of chemical engineering.
